Carbon neutral

La Carbon Neutrality (or carbonic neutralitya) is the condition in which the CO₂ emissions released into the atmosphere while carrying out certain activities are balanced by an equivalent compensated amount (removed or avoided), in a given period of time.
The goal is to eliminate your carbon footprint, making your activities go Carbon-free.

To become Carbon-neutral it's not just companies. In fact, this concept can also be applied to a product, a service, an event, a specific activity or even to a person.
When used in companies as a climate mitigation strategy, Carbon Neutrality is calculated on an annual basis, and must be combined with long-term decarbonization plans with the aim not only of neutralizing their emissions, but of creating a positive effect for the planet by removing more CO₂ than is emitted.

The unit of measure when calculating your carbon footprint is the CO₂ equivalent (CO₂ eq), which makes it possible to collect in a single data the emissions of all greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere. To indicate it, it would be more correct to write CO₂ eq, but for the sake of brevity, the form CO₂ is often used.
